Dr. Clayton McCarl has been a part of the Greenbelt dental practice for over 35 years. For him, being a dentist is about helping people and working with a great team. He loves making improvements in dental care while serving the community. Dr. Clayton is very proud of the practice he has built with his family and team, and he hopes that all his patients feel at home here.

Dr. Clayton decided to become a dentist because of his family. His father, grandfather, and uncle were all dentists, so he grew up around the profession. He started working as a yard boy, but soon became a dental assistant and helped at the front desk during high school. Today, he is lucky to work with family members and partners who feel like family.

He studied at Western Maryland College and the University of Maryland, College Park, before graduating from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Clayton has received special training in dental implants and smile enhancements. He is a charter member of the Triple Crown Study Club and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association, which helps him stay updated on the latest in dental care.

Outside of work, Dr. Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa. They have three adult children and wonderful grandchildren. Their daughter Ashley works as one of the hygienists in the practice. In his free time, Dr. Clayton likes to exercise, travel, and cheer for the Maryland Terrapins and the Baltimore Ravens. His life is all about family, community, and caring for others, making him a valued dentist and friend to many.
